MORNING SESSION

LESSONS FOR LIFE

Jenniffer Weigel - Keynote Speaker

 Jennifer Weigel

Jenniffer is a well known TV personality and performance artist as well as the author of the popular Tribune column, "Lessons for Life".

During her one hour address Jen will refer to her book, I'm Spiritual Dammit as she provides 13 common sense lessons  for developing a sane and satisfying inner life. You will come away entertained and enlightened.

I’m Spiritual, Dammit!  (Hampton Roads, September 2010) is an honest, amusing teaching memoir rooted in Weigel’s everyday experience as a mother, television personality, and performance artist. In 13 amusing chapters Weigel captures the humor and pathos of being a parent, a partner and a public personality in today’s crazy world. www.jenweigel.com

Following the address we will break out into small groups to discuss how to apply the rules to our personal journeys.

AFTERNOON SESSION

THE MUSE AND THE SPIRIT: Recharge Yourself with Sound and Art

Marian McNair

Marian McNair

Through creative visualization, vibrational heart songs with crystal bowls, and voice we are taken into a deeply relaxed state to restore our natural vitality and to find our connection with our sacred center. Using art methods, we draw our dreams to remember the muse and message within, a calling to a life of passion and living in our authentic self. This joy from within allows blockages to clear, greater love, self-awareness and productivity within ourselves and those we touch.

Marian has practiced Sound & Vibrational Healing for over 15 years. Marian offers both group and individual sessions, utilizing her 25 years of professional singing, her knowledge of sound and an entire octave of crystal bowls. www.marianmcnair.com

"Step by step we take an early morning walk. Day by day, we write in our journal, work in a garden, light a candle, return to a piece of poetry, or go about the everyday things that keep life going. It all seems so slow, so ordinary. Still, thread by thread, we are learning the importance of staying with the process and reminded that there is no way to cultivate our souls in a hurry. There is no way to rush healing, forgiving, grieving, even growing; it is all about the slow process of transformation."

Midwives of an Unnamed Future, Spirituality for
Women in Times of Unprecedented Change
by Mary Broz and Barb Flynn
